Herne Bay Rocks Competition
Now in its 14th year it is a LIVE music competition for local musicians either electric or acoustic.
It’s held over 7 nights in August with 5 band/electric nights at 5 different Herne Bay venues and 2 nights of acoustic music at 2 Herne Bay venues.
For all heats the complete Back Line (including drum kit) and PA system are provided by Macs Music , this enables quick turn around’s and guarantee of working quality equipment. Bands bring their own breakables and any specialist equipment
We have 4 independent judges, all with music industry experience, who judge over 4 different categories – Ability, Song Writing/Interpretation, Stage Presence, Professionalism.
The 3 highest scoring bands over the 5 nights play in a final held at the Kings Hall.
The acoustic acts are scored using the same categories as the bands over the 2 acoustic nights with the winner announced at end of the second night.

The winner’s prizes are made up of the following
2 days in a local recording studio (1 Day for acoustic winner)
Production of 100 CD’s
