The second competition was held in 2007 based in 5 venues (Bun Penny, Druids, Prince of Wales, Queen Vic, Hope and Anchor).
The standard was raised after the success of the 2006 competition and Herne Bay followers were out in force.
The winners , who played at the Bun Penny were the fantastic Syd Arthur from Canterbury.
After this success they have continued to head to stardom and have just (2014) finished a lengthy tour in the States supporting YES. This follows many spots at festivals in UK and abroad including Lounge on the Farm, Glastonbury and SXSW and also supporting Paul Weller, Sean Lennon, Caravan to name just a few. They have also done a number of UK tours and this year (2014) were named Breakthrough Artist of the Year by The Prog awards.
